Obverse description Bare-headed, uniformed bust of King Victor Emmanuel III facing right, depicted in military dress with elaborate epaulettes and decorative collar, rendered in high relief in the refined medallic style of Davide Calandra. The portrait is set within a raised inner border of twisted rope design, itself enclosed by a wreath border of laurel leaves running along the coin's periphery. The circumferential legend reads VITTORIO EMANVELE III RE D'ITALIA in incuse Roman capitals, and the engraver's signature D. CALANDRA appears in the field.

Reverse description An allegorical composition in high relief depicting a triumphant quadriga driven by four rearing horses moving to the left, guided by the winged figure of Victory or Peace standing at right, draped in classical armour and holding an olive branch aloft in her raised right hand while her left hand rests upon a shield. To the right, an altar or monument bears the Latin motto PAX DIVITIAE NON DIVITIAE PACEM inscribed on its face, with a palm branch at its side. The engraver's signature CALANDRA appears in the lower left field, and the denomination LIRE 5 is inscribed in the exergue, accompanied by the mint mark R. The entire design is framed by a wreath border of laurel leaves matching the obverse.
