Aanvullende informatie

San Marino has issued annual coin sets almost without interruption since 1972, and by 1993 the small republic's mint program had become one of the more prolific in Europe relative to its population of roughly 24,000. This particular aluminum 5 Lire was struck exclusively for the annual uncirculated set — none of San Marino's lire-denominated aluminum coinage of this period entered general circulation, as the republic used Italian lire for everyday commerce under the terms of its monetary convention with Italy.
