| Opmerkingen |
Dago Village was a Japanese-American internment camp in Hunt, Idaho — formally known as the Minidoka War Relocation Center. Internal scrip issued by camp social or cooperative organizations was a practical necessity: internees were paid nominal wages for camp labor (typically $12–$19 per month) and needed a medium of exchange for canteen purchases without handling federal currency inside the facility.
The name "Dago Village" reflects informal camp geography, with different residential blocks acquiring their own identities. Whether this scrip circulated widely or was limited to a specific block's cooperative is unrecorded.
