| Beschrijving voorzijde | The face is dominated by a central guilloche underprint in reddish-brown, against which the denomination '5 LIRE' is printed in large bold letterpress type at centre. The inscriptions 'ISSUED IN ITALY' appear in the upper portion, with 'SERIES 1943' repeated twice at left and lower right. The numeral '5' appears at each of the four corners, and a green ornamental border with scrollwork frames the entire design. |
