| Obverse description | The obverse features the coat of arms of the Bulgarian National Bank at center, depicting two rampant lions flanking a crowned shield charged with a stylized oak branch, all above a ribbon scroll bearing the founding date 1879. The arms are rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. The Cyrillic legend БЪЛГАРСКА НАРОДНА БАНКА arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 5 ЛЕВА and the year of issue 2006 are inscribed in the lower field. The design is framed by a continuous beaded border running along the inner rim. |
