| Reverse description | The reverse features a richly detailed depiction of a traditional Bulgarian carpet motif, rendered in vibrant polychrome hues of red, yellow, brown, and green, illustrating the artisan craft of carpet making. The geometric patterning is characteristic of authentic Bulgarian folk textile design. The circumferential legend is divided into two inscriptions: 'БАГРИ ОТ ПРИРОДАТА' (Hues from Nature) and 'КИЛИМАРСТВО' (Carpet Making), both in Cyrillic script, framing the central design element. |

Part of the Bulgarian National Bank's long-running "Bulgarian Crafts" commemorative series, this issue documents traditional carpet weaving at a moment when Bulgaria's handmade textile industry had already contracted sharply following the collapse of state-sponsored craft cooperatives after 1989. The .500 fineness is notably low for a commemorative silver coin — a deliberate cost-containment choice that kept the series accessible to domestic collectors rather than the international bullion market.
