Reverse description The central field bears the denomination 5 / ΛΕΠΤΑ (5 Lepta) in two lines, enclosed within a finely rendered laurel wreath tied at the base with a ribbon bow. The circular peripheral legend • ΚΥΒΕΡΝΗΤΗΣ Ι• Α• ΚΑΠΟΔΙΣΤΡΙΑΣ • (Governor I. A. Kapodistrias) runs around the upper portion of the coin, with the issue date • 1831 • appearing in the lower exergual area outside the wreath. The lettering is upright and well-struck, characteristic of the milled coinage produced at the Aegina Mint under Governor Ioannis Kapodistrias.
