Beschrijving voorzijde Dark blue-gray tint over a multicolor underprint, with an intaglio portrait vignette of General Francisco Morazán at left. The face carries the issuing authority's title and denomination inscriptions in formal serif lettering, with the date of issue indicated below the central text block. The overall layout is characteristic of mid-century American Bank Note Company production, with fine engraved linework framing the portrait.

Opmerkingen

The Banco Central de Honduras was only established in 1950, replacing the older Banco Nacional de Fomento as the country's sole note-issuing authority. This 5 Lempiras belongs to the very first series it issued — printed by the American Bank Note Company in New York, the dominant supplier for Central American government securities throughout the mid-twentieth century.

The 1950–1951 date span reflects two separate signing periods rather than a design change; the plates were identical across both years.
