Reverse description The Romanian royal coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a large ornate quartered shield supported by two rampant lions, surmounted by a royal crown, with the motto ribbon NIHIL SINE DEO across the base of the shield. The country name ROMANIA arcs along the upper periphery within a beaded border, while the denomination 5 L is placed to the left and right of the shield respectively. The Bucharest mint mark B appears at lower left and the date 1880 is inscribed in the exergue.
