Aanvullende informatie

Romania's 1930 coinage was issued under deeply unstable political conditions. Mihai I had assumed the throne in 1927 at age five following his father Carol's abdication and exile, but Carol returned in June 1930 and engineered his own restoration — meaning coins struck that year bearing Mihai's effigy were produced while a dynastic coup was actively unfolding. By the end of 1930, Carol II was king and Mihai had been reduced to Crown Prince.

The reign's brevity makes the 1930 nickel-brass issues a one-year type for Mihai I's first reign.
