Beschrijving keerzijde The central vignette shows the Romanian Athenaeum concert hall, rendered in fine line engraving. A piano and a musical stave serve as complementary design motifs. The denomination in numerals and words, the bank name, and the BNR logo appear in the upper right and lower left corners; a legal anti-counterfeiting inscription runs along the lower register. Opmerkingen

Romania has issued polymer 5 Lei notes continuously since 2005, with the P#118 series accumulating suffix letters through successive print runs as security features and substrate specifications were quietly updated. The "i" suffix places this example among the later runs, issued from 2018 onward under contracts with Note Printing Australia, which has supplied the polymer substrate for the entire series.

The watermark notation is worth treating with some caution — polymer notes do not carry traditional watermarks in the paper sense. What catalogs describe as such on these notes is an electrotype-style clear window feature inherent to the substrate itself.
