| Obverse description | Stylized map of Northern Italy occupies the central field, with the emblematic figure of Alberto da Giussano — the legendary warrior symbol of the Lega Nord movement — superimposed upon it. The design is rendered in a bold, graphic style consistent with political fantasy coinage of the early 1990s. A beaded border frames the entire obverse. The circular legend reads REPUBBLICA DEL NORD • LOMBARDIA LIBERA • in raised Latin characters. |

| Additional information |
The "Repubblica del Nord" issues of the early 1990s were fantasy pieces produced in support of the Lega Nord separatist movement, which at that time was pushing for the political and fiscal independence of northern Italy from Rome. They circulated as political tokens rather than legal tender — handed out at rallies, sold as propaganda souvenirs — and were never sanctioned by the Italian state.
The "Leghe" denomination is itself invented, referencing the movement's name. X# prefixes in the Standard Catalog denote exactly this category: notgeld, fantasy, and necessity issues outside mainstream government authority.
