| Reverse description | The full Latvian state coat of arms occupies the central field, featuring a quartered shield displaying a rising sun, a lion rampant, and a griffin, supported by a lion rampant to the left and a griffin to the right, both rearing. Three five-pointed stars arc above the shield, representing the three historical regions of Latvia.
