Georgia's Constituent Assembly of 1919 produced the country's first constitution, adopted in February 1921 — just weeks before the Red Army invaded and extinguished the Democratic Republic entirely. The Soviet occupation buried that constitutional moment for seven decades.
This 2019 issue marks the centenary of that assembly.
