| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, diademed and draped, occupying the central field. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper rim, while the inscription 1/25 OUNCE AG.999 appears vertically along the left field and MALAWI 5 KWACHA along the right field, framing the portrait on both sides. The design reflects the standard small-format bullion effigy style used on Malawi investment coinage of this period. |
