Description de l’avers	Intaglio portrait of John Chilembwe at right, set against a light green guilloche underprint with a central vignette of fishermen in a boat on open water and a fish motif. The dark green header band at top carries the bank title 'RESERVE BANK OF MALAWI' and the denomination numeral 'K5', while the lower portion bears the promise-to-pay clause, the denomination in full, and the issuing authority legend. The RBM monogram device appears at lower left alongside the Governor's signature and issue date.
