He is depicted wearing a belted tunic, bracers, and a flowing cape, with stylized rock formations visible in the background field. The legend MEÐ LÖGUM SKAL LAND BYGGJA (Land shall be built by laws) arcs along the upper periphery in runic-style Latin lettering. The commemorative dates 930 and 1930 appear in the lower field flanking the engraver's initials B.B., marking the millennial anniversary of the Althing. |

The design is executed in bold high relief with fine detailing on feathers and scales. The surrounding legend, divided into two arcs, reads ALÞINGI VAS SETT AT RAÞI ULFLIOTS · OK ALLRA LANDSMANNA (The Althing was established on Ulfljótr's advice and that of all the people), with the engraver's initials G.E. appearing in the lower field. |
