Sweden contracted Thomas De La Rue for this short series rather than using its own government printing facilities — an unusual outsourcing decision for a country with a well-established intaglio tradition at the Riksbank's own press. The arrangement was brief; production returned to domestic printing shortly after.
The 1952–1953 date range covers only two consecutive issue years, making the window narrow and surviving circulated examples proportionally less common than longer-running series of the same denomination.
