| Obverse description | The obverse is laid out in a letterpress and intaglio style typical of Swedish enskilda bank notes of the period. A central text panel carries the bank name WADSTENA ENSKILDA BANK above the promise clause "inlöser vid anfordran denna banksedel med" and the denomination rendered both in words FEM and in figures KRONOR flanking either side, with the place and date WADSTENA 1877 below. The note is framed by ornate guilloche borders incorporating the numeral 5 at each corner, with a small crowned vignette at the top centre, and bears two manuscript signatures beneath the central panel together with a circular bank seal. |
