STOCKHOLM 1876.
Reverse description The reverse reproduces the obverse design in mirror image, printed from the same engraved plate so that the lettering and numerals appear in reverse, a characteristic anti-counterfeiting convention of nineteenth-century Swedish private bank issues. The central oval with "FEM", the flanking "Kronor" cartouches, the lateral "STOCKHOLM" panels, and the crowned portrait vignette at the top are all clearly legible in inverted form, giving the note a fully symmetrical appearance when held to the light.
