| 正面描述 | Printed in blue-grey intaglio on white cotton paper, the obverse carries the issuer's name 'ÖREBRO ENSKILDA BANK' in bold capitals across the upper margin, below which a heraldic coat of arms flanked by two allegorical figures and surmounted by a crowned cartouche forms the central vignette. The denomination is rendered in large calligraphic script as 'FEM' at centre with 'Kronor' to either side, while the numeral '5' appears within a dark oval cartouche in the lower panel. The Swedish redemption clause, series letter 'Litt. C.', manuscript signatures, and the date 'Örebro 1876' are inscribed within an ornate letterpress border framing the entire composition. |

Örebro Enskilda Bank was one of Sweden's provincial private banks operating under the enskilda bank system, which permitted note issuance against a defined capital base. The system produced dozens of regionally distinct issues throughout the nineteenth century before the Riksbank gradually absorbed the right of note issuance — a process completed by 1904, when the last enskilda banks surrendered their circulation privileges.
Pick 398 is sparsely documented, and surviving examples from this provincial issuer are rarely offered. Örebro's note circulation was modest relative to the Stockholm banks, which makes attrition losses over a century of time particularly felt.
