Opmerkingen

Styrelsen af Kolonierne i Grønland — the Danish Colonial Administration of Greenland — issued this note for use within Greenland's trading settlements, where the krone circulated as a controlled scrip rather than part of Denmark's general monetary supply. The isolation of Greenland's west coast communities made overprinting or recall operations slow and logistically difficult, which is part of why these early colonial notes survived in low numbers.

The Type I designation distinguishes this by its blue-green reverse from a later printing variant. Pick 14 is scarce in any grade; the series was never widely issued in volume.
