Obverse description	The note is printed in green and pale blue-green on a fine guilloche underprint filled with repeated numeral 5s. The denomination '5 Kr.' appears at upper left and upper right, flanking a dark green rectangular panel bearing the inscription 'FÆRØERNE' in bold letterpress. The central field carries the value 'FEM KRONER' in large letters above the promissory text issued on behalf of Danmarks Nationalbank, with flanking foliate laurel branch vignettes at left and right; the issuing authority and date 'FÆRØ AMT. NOVEMBER 1940' appear below, with two serial numbers and the countersignature of the Amtmand at bottom centre.

The entire field is covered by a continuous microtext underprint repeating the words 'DANMARK' and 'FÆRØERNE' in alternating sequence, forming a dense security background. At centre, a cartouche framed by scrollwork and stylised shell motifs above and below contains the denomination '5 Kroner' in large green serif lettering, with ornamental foliate side pieces flanking the panel.
