| 备注 |
The design on the reverse is the work of Christian Christie, the Norwegian painter after whom this series is informally named — an unusual distinction, since most Norges Bank note designs of the period were outsourced wholesale to British commercial engravers. Production was split between Bradbury Wilkinson in England and Norges Banks Seddeltrykkeri in Christiania (later Oslo), and examples from the two print sources are not always easy to distinguish without examining paper stock and impression quality closely.
The series ran across three signature combinations over more than four decades, covering the transition from the union with Sweden through the German occupation. Notes issued under the Meldahl-Nielsen signature were still being dated into the early occupation years.
