Obverse description Crowned oval escutcheon bearing the quartered arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg impaled with the personal arms of Archbishop Hieronymus von Colloredo, surmounted by an archiepiscopal cross above the crown. A crozier and sword are crossed saltire-wise behind the shield, symbolizing ecclesiastical and temporal authority. A laurel or olive wreath frames the lower portion of the shield in the field.
