| Obverse description | At center, the Augsburg pine cone (Zirbelnuss) displayed erect upon an ornate crowned pedestal, flanked by the initials S and W (Stadtwährung, denoting city currency) to left and right respectively. The date is inscribed below the pedestal in two digits to each side, and the city value VII·K· (7 Kreuzer) appears in the lower field. The circular legend AUGUSTA·VINDEL· (the Latin name for Augsburg) runs around the periphery, all within a finely milled border. |
