Additional information

Kremnica's 1993 trial strikes were produced as Czechoslovakia's monetary separation became inevitable — the mint needed approved production parameters before the Slovak koruna could enter circulation on January 1, 1993. Trial pieces in nickel-iron steel from this period were functional tests, not collectibles by intent, struck to verify die alignment, feed mechanisms, and edge tooling on the new planchet specification. Most were destroyed after evaluation.
