| 备注 |
Világítási és Vízmű Részvénytársaság — the Lighting and Waterworks Joint-Stock Company — issued small-denomination emergency scrip in 1920 as Hungary's postwar coin shortage made everyday transactions nearly impossible. Municipal utilities and private enterprises alike stepped into the gap left by a central bank overwhelmed by the inflation and political dislocation that followed the collapse of the Dual Monarchy and the short-lived Soviet Republic of 1919.
The Adamo MSZK catalogue places this among Budapest's corporate szükségpénz issues — necessity money produced for wage payments or change-making within a specific utility's network rather than for general circulation.
