Amatőrök Forgalmi Szövetkezete — roughly, the "Amateurs' Trading Cooperative" — was one of dozens of Hungarian civil and commercial associations that issued their own scrip during the acute currency shortage that followed the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Krone system and the turbulent political transitions of 1919–1920. These cooperative notes circulated as internal exchange instruments among members, filling a gap that the Magyar Állami Jegyintézet was too overstretched to address. The Adamo MSZK series documents a surprisingly broad ecosystem of such local issuers, most of them short-lived.
