| Obverse description | The obverse carries a decorative border of interlocking geometric and floral guilloche elements in red and black. At upper centre, the issuer's title 'MAGISTRAT M. CZĘSTOCHOWY' is set in ornate lettering; to the left, the municipal coat of arms of Częstochowa — an eagle above a triple-towered castle gate with the Jasna Góra monastery below — forms a central vignette in red underprint.
