| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field displays a crowned double-headed Imperial eagle with wings spread, the mint initials divided below the eagle's body. Beneath the primary type, the ghosted undertype reveals the crowned cipher of Catherine II (Ekaterina II) from the original 10 Kopeks host coin, accompanied by a row of ten dots. The peripheral legend is incuse in Cyrillic script identifying the issuing mint and denomination. This overstruck design retains visible elements of the earlier Catherine II coinage as an undertype, a characteristic feature of this Pavel I recoinage issue. |
