| Obverse description | Imperial Russian double-headed eagle displayed with wings spread, surmounted by a single Imperial crown topped with a cross, the breast bearing a shield charged with the St. George and dragon device. The eagle's talons clutch a sceptre and orb. The mintmaster's initials НГ appear in the lower field beneath the eagle's tail, flanked by the date 1826, with the Cyrillic legend ГОДА. (meaning 'year') inscribed along the lower rim. |
