Obverse description The Imperial Russian double-headed eagle occupies the central field, displayed with wings spread and crowned above each head, with a third larger crown surmounting the composition overall. The eagle bears the orb and sceptre in its talons, with the shield of St. George slaying the dragon on its breast. The entire design is encircled by a repeating border legend of the denomination '5 КОПѢЙКИ' arranged continuously around the periphery in Cyrillic characters, creating an ornate frame around the central device.
