Beschrijving voorzijde Crowned double-headed imperial eagle displayed in the central field, with wings spread and each head surmounted by a separate imperial crown, the whole beneath a third larger crown. The eagle bears the orb and sceptre in its talons and displays the Romanov coat of arms on its breast. The date 1911 ГОДА (Year 1911) is inscribed along the left and right periphery in Cyrillic characters, with the mintmaster's initials Э.Б. (E.B.) appearing in the lower field. The design is executed in a bold, high-relief style consistent with Saint Petersburg Mint pattern coinage of the late Imperial period.

Beschrijving keerzijde Large numeral '5' occupies the central field, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The legend РОССIЙСКАЯ МОНЕТА (Russian Coin) arcs along the upper periphery, while 5 КОПѢЕКЪ (5 Kopecks) is inscribed along the lower periphery, both separated by small ornamental stops. The plain, unadorned field and bold central numeral reflect the simplified, functional design aesthetic proposed for this pattern issue. The overall composition is clean and well-struck, typical of nickel pattern trials produced at the Saint Petersburg Mint.
