| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the elaborate interlaced Cyrillic monogram of Empress Catherine II (Екатерина II), composed of stylized Cyrillic letters surmounted by an Imperial crown. The date is divided on either side of the monogram, with the first two digits to the left and the final two to the right. The entire central device is encircled by a wreath of laurel and palm branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow, lending the design a classically elegant character consistent with late 18th-century Russian coinage. |

| Reverse description | The reverse bears a large crowned double-headed Imperial Russian eagle displayed in the centre of the field, with wings spread and each head facing outward. The eagle holds the orb and sceptre in its talons, and a shield is placed upon its breast. The mint marks 'Т' and 'М' appear flanking the eagle at the lower left and right respectively. The bold Cyrillic inscription naming the denomination runs along the lower portion of the coin, and the entire design is consistent with the standard Imperial Russian type of the Ekaterina II copper series. |
