| 正面描述 | The State Emblem of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR) is centrally depicted in the field, featuring the Soviet-influenced coat of arms with a landscape, rising sun, and sheaves of wheat. A circular legend in Cyrillic reads 'ПРИДНЕСТРОВСКАЯ МОЛДАВСКАЯ РЕСПУБЛИКА' around the upper periphery. The mint year '2019' appears below the emblem in the lower field. |

Transnistria's coinage exists because the territory declared independence from Moldova in 1990, a separation never recognized by any UN member state. The Russian-backed breakaway strip along the Dniester River operates its own central bank, issues its own currency, and has done so with remarkable consistency for three decades — producing coins that are simultaneously legal tender within a functioning economy and, technically, the currency of a country that does not exist.
