Manchu script legend arcs across the upper portion of the field, while additional Chinese ideograms appear in the lower register. The inscriptions collectively identify the issuing authority, the monetary system, and the denomination of five jiao. The overall design is rendered in a formal, classical Chinese numismatic style consistent with late Qing imperial coinage. |

| Opis rewersu | A coiled imperial dragon is depicted at centre, facing forward with a flaming pearl positioned prominently before it, rendered in high relief consistent with late Qing dragon coinage. A Chinese ideogram legend arcs across the upper field, recording the reign era of Xuantong. The English denomination '1/2 DOL.' appears in the lower exergual area in Latin characters. Floral ornaments occupy the spaces on either side of the dragon, providing symmetrical decorative framing. The composition reflects the hybrid Sino-Western design conventions adopted for Chinese silver coinage of the early twentieth century. |
