正面描述 The brass centre features a central depiction of the Dnipro Hydroelectric Station (DniproHES) dam, surrounded by regional emblems representing the principal industries of Zaporizhia Oblast: an airplane symbolising the motor industry, a steel-teeming ladle for ferrous metallurgy, a sunflower and wheatears for agriculture, and an atom-for-peace emblem denoting nuclear power engineering. The issue year 2014 appears above the dam. The copper-nickel ring bears the semicircular legend НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ at the top and the denomination П'ЯТЬ ГРИВЕНЬ at the bottom, with the mintmark of the National Bank of Ukraine Banknote Printing and Minting Works situated to the right of the central device. The Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine appears prominently above the central composition.

附加信息

Part of Ukraine's long-running regional arms series, this issue documents Zaporizhia Oblast — the territory that takes its name from the Zaporozhian Sich, the fortified headquarters of the Cossack Host that dominated the steppe frontier from the 16th century until Catherine the Great ordered its destruction in 1775. The timing of the 2014 release is impossible to separate from events: Zaporizhia sits immediately north of Crimea and borders the Donbas conflict zone, making this one of the more politically charged regional issues in the series by circumstance alone.
