(Translation: Ukraine Ukraine`s flag as blue as the sea, as gold as daylight – from sky and sunlight our flag is bright. Oleksandr Oles)
Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse displays a stylized decorative bird rendered in an ornamented folk art style, centrally positioned and surrounded by radiating sunrays that fill the field. The bird, symbolic of the Ukrainian national spirit and the people's aspiration for freedom and independence, holds a guelder-rose branch — a traditional Ukrainian symbol of beauty and continuity — in its beak or talons. The overall composition is circular and symmetrical, conveying a sense of vitality and national pride. Below the bird, along the lower rim, is the Cyrillic legend НАША ДУША (meaning 'Our Soul'), serving as the thematic inscription of the design.

Aanvullende informatie

Issued in 2022 as Russia's full-scale invasion entered its second month, this coin was authorized specifically to raise funds and morale — the National Bank of Ukraine ran parallel programs releasing collector issues tied directly to the war effort, with sales partly directed toward humanitarian and defense expenditures. The timing meant production and distribution logistics were conducted under active wartime conditions.

The Zahreba reference places it firmly within the documented Ukrainian commemorative series, though wartime mintage figures remain incompletely reported in international catalogs.
