Part of Ukraine's long-running zodiac series produced for the Vietnamese lunar calendar market, this issue marks the Year of the Cat — a distinction that separates the Vietnamese tradition from the Chinese zodiac, which designates the same cycle as the Year of the Rabbit. Ukraine has been one of the few sovereign mints to specifically produce lunar coins recognizing the Cat rather than defaulting to the Chinese convention.
