The central design features a gilt bone plate in the form of an auroch's head, an artifact from the Trypillian culture of Ternopil oblast dated to approximately 3700–3500 B.C., rendered in partial gilding against the coin's silver field. To the right of this central motif stands a ritual ceramic vessel decorated with an auroch's head, also attributable to the Trypillian cultural complex. The overall composition celebrates the prehistoric artistic heritage of Ukraine. |

To the left, an auroch's head is rendered in sculptural relief, while to the right appears a fragment of a cave petroglyph from the Stone Tomb (Kamyana Mohyla) in Zaporizhzhia oblast, depicting an auroch alongside goats. The Stone Tomb site contains several thousand petroglyphs dating from the Late Stone Age through the Middle Ages, making it one of the most significant prehistoric sanctuaries in Eastern Europe. The reverse lettering ТУР, the Ukrainian name for the auroch, appears in Cyrillic script. |
