| Description de l’avers | The bimetallic obverse features, in the upper portion of the brass centre, the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine surmounted by a semicircular legend reading НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine), with the denomination П`ЯТЬ ГРИВЕНЬ (Five Hryvnias) inscribed beneath. The mint mark of the National Bank of Ukraine Banknote Printing and Minting Works appears to the right of the central composition. The field presents a stylised arrangement of culturally significant symbols of Lviv Oblast: the Apostolos (Acts and Epistles), the first book printed in Ukraine (Lviv, 1574), with the issue year 2014 to its left, alongside a mineral water pump room, the Olesko Castle, an oil well pumpjack, and a cezve with a cup rendered in the lower portion, all set against a mountain landscape backdrop. |
