| Obverse description | Against a smooth field, the obverse bears the small State Coat of Arms of Ukraine at center, flanked by two portrait effigies: to the left, a facing portrait of theater co-founder Hnat Yura, accompanied by a vertical Cyrillic legend ГНАТ ЮРА; to the right, a facing portrait of co-founder Amvrosii Buchma, accompanied by the vertical Cyrillic legend АМВРОСІЙ БУЧМА. A semicircular legend УКРАЇНА arcs above the coat of arms, while the denomination 5 ₴ and the issue year 2020 appear below it.
