| Obverse description | At upper center, Ukraine's small State Coat of Arms (trident) is flanked to the right by the bilingual denomination legend УКРАЇНА / 5 ГРИВЕНЬ, with the date 2017 below the arms. The field features a pad-printed blue outline map of the Crimean Peninsula as backdrop, upon which lines from the Crimean Tatar national anthem are inscribed in yellow Cyrillic and Latin lettering: Я ПРИСЯГНУВСЯ, / Я ДАВ СЛОВО / ПОМЕРТИ ЗА НАРОД… / ANT ETKENMEN, / SOZ BERGENMEN / MILLET ICUN OLMEGE… (I swore, I pledged to die for my people…).
