| Obverse description | At center, the small State Coat of Arms of Ukraine (trident) is positioned to the left of the Cyrillic legend УКРАЇНА and the date 2018. Below the coat of arms, fragments of the 1918 30-shah postage stamp are depicted in the field. To the left, the face value 5 ГРИВЕНЬ is inscribed vertically alongside the date 1918 and the Cyrillic legend ХОДИТЬ / НАРІВНІ / З ДЗВІНКОЮ / МОНЕТОЮ, meaning the banknote circulates on par with metal coinage. The mint mark of the NBU Banknote Printing and Minting Works appears at the base of the design. |

Flanking the stamp on either side are relief depictions of perforated stamp edges extending into the field. A circular Cyrillic legend arcs around the upper portion of the coin, and the inscription 100 РОКІВ appears in the lower exergue. |
