| Descrizione del dritto | The upper portion of the coin bears the small coat of arms of Ukraine (trident) at the center, flanked by a circular Cyrillic legend reading НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine) above and П'ЯТЬ ГРИВЕНЬ (Five Hryvnias) below. The mint mark of the NBU Banknote Printing and Minting Works appears to the right of the arms. The central field depicts a rich composite scene commemorating landmarks of Vinnytsia Oblast, including the Potocki Palace in Tulchyn, a 19th-century mill in the village of Krupoderyntsi, the water tower and fountains of Vinnytsia city, and the celebrated ancient Busha rock-temple relief; sunflowers and apples to the left of the relief symbolize the region's agricultural heritage. The issue year 2017 appears above the central design. |

The shield is set against a decorative background of traditional Ukrainian folk-ornament motifs. The copper-nickel outer ring carries the Cyrillic inscription ВІННИЦЬКА ОБЛАСТЬ (Vinnytsia Oblast) arching above and ЗАСНОВАНА У 1932 РОЦІ (Established in 1932) arching below, with the numeral 1932 rendered in Arabic digits. |
