| Obverse description | The obverse features the large coat of arms of Ukraine centered in the field, depicting a shield bearing the trident (trizub), supported on the left by a crowned lion rampant and on the right by a Cossack warrior in traditional attire holding a musket. Above the shield, an elaborate foliate and floral ornamental crest surmounts the composition, while wheat ears and decorative botanical elements occupy the lower field. The mint mark appears at the lower left. Below the central device, the cursive inscription 'Україна' (Ukraine) arcs across the field, with the denomination 'П'ЯТЬ ГРИВЕНЬ' (Five Hryvnias) inscribed along the lower rim in block Cyrillic lettering, and the date '2016' placed to the lower right. |
