Reverse description Central field bears the crowned Dutch coat of arms — a shield displaying the rampant lion of the Netherlands — surmounted by a royal crown. The denomination numerals '5' and 'G' flank the shield to the left and right respectively. The circular legend 'KONINGRIJK DER NEDERLANDEN' arcs around the upper portion of the design, while the date '1877' appears in the lower exergual area flanked by small ornamental stops. The entire reverse design is contained within a raised inner border with a reeded collar impression, characteristic of a trial striking.
