Additional information

The Centrale Bank van Curaçao en Sint Maarten issues commemorative silver under its own authority — a function that traces back to the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles in 2010, when Curaçao and Sint Maarten became constituent countries of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and required their own central banking structure. Willemstad, the capital of Curaçao, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997, recognized for its Dutch colonial merchant architecture along the Handelskade.

KM#103 falls within a modest commemorative program; mintages for this series have historically been capped in the low thousands.
