Comments

The Bank van de Nederlandse Antillen replaced its previous 5 Gulden series in 1980 with this Enschedé-printed issue, which ran until 1984 — a relatively brief window that limits surviving quantities. Enschedé's Haarlem facility had printed Netherlands Antilles notes for decades by this point, and the relationship showed in the quality of registration and intaglio work typical of their security output.

The Netherlands Antilles itself was dissolved in 2010, split into Curaçao and Sint Maarten as constituent countries, with Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba becoming special municipalities of the Netherlands. Notes from this issuer carry a hard end date.
